Trying to catch up!

Since I last posted, the adoption has been moving forward. We submitted our application to an adoption agency, completed our home study, had our fingerprints done, received I800 approval and now finishing up our authentications. But, the most exciting news is submitting Letter of Intent (LOI) for a little girl in China. We received Pre-Approval October 8. She is 20 months old. We hope to submit our Dossier in January for final approval.

New Items

I contacted our Social Worker this week and will be starting our new home-study soon. In the meantime, we have been busy making more bracelets and blankets. I have also gathered many items to auction off on Facebook (more to come soon) but to give a preview - Bath & Body Works and Yankee Candle.

To comply with several of the sites I post on, we are asking for donations for our fundraiser and in return you will receive a hand-made item. Donations can be made through our PayPal button or sent by mail. I will provide the mailing address privately. Thanks for looking and please share!

News!

After long thought, we have decided to adopt again! We are just starting the process for another little girl with special needs from China. The girls are all very excited, however, Kayla wants a brother! We explained that a brother would look pretty funny in dresses.

We know many people will not understand why we are adopting again and will not be supportive, but this is the direction our family has chosen.

We have decided to try fundraising for our next adoption. The girls and I have been making bracelets, necklaces, selling lollipops and will soon start making baby blankets. We plan to hold online auctions, giveaways and anything else we can come up with to help offset the expenses.

Introduction

Blogging is new to me. So here it goes......

We are the Fahey family. We have adopted 4 beautiful daughters from China and the US. Every day is filled with meetings, doctor appointments, and chaos; but I wouldn't change any of it.
